Human System imposed limitations

Nationality. Why are there restrictions on me traveling to different countries at will? Was I not born on the earth? What right does someone have to deprive me from being any place on the earth that I wish to be?

Locomotive Limitations

Why can't we be wherever we wish to be? Why do we have to take a train or fly? Shouldn't wanting to be at a certain place - the will to be somewhere - be enough? Why this physical limitation? If my mind can be in a different country, if my imagination can be, then why not my physical body?

Inability to know the truth

This is the second biggest one in my list.
Like many have said before, most of the problems in the world are problems of knowledge (or ignorance). Why can't we "know"? We are limited to logic, deduction but a large part (the overwhelming majority I think) is feelings, emotions, deep-seated feelings. We don't have a framework (like logic) to discern these. We struggle with knowing our own feelings, how we feel about a person, an issue, a choice - leave alone knowing someone else. Is someone telling the truth, is he/she lying, is the person honest, does he/she really love us, is something good for us, is it right? All these things we are unable to know. Why don't we have perfect knowledge and how can we achieve it?

Death & Disease

Beyond doubt Death and Disease are the biggest ones. Why should these be? We will focus not on the process (we know death happens due to the failure of organs due to natural or non-natural reasons but that is not the basic issue) but on the underlying basic issue, the raison-de-aitre rather than the appearance. Why are our bodies so fragile? Why do our cells age? Will this change? If so, how? Have we made peace with death? Should we not question it? What about diseases? Why are our systems (vital,mental,physical) so fragile so as to not to be able to resist shocks around us? Why should there be diseases?

Introduction

I will be listing a few things that are wrong with the world. These are underlying problems that are the reason of a lot of trouble, limitations and sorrow. Each problem I think of will be a separate blog post.
